I Walked Out Of Church

I was sitting in the back at the trendy tables during worship. Not standing as the worship leader had invited us to, but sitting (though sitting on the stools makes me a similar height as when I stand, so I think that God is OK with me sitting).

I noticed that the back door to the main hall was open. As was the door to the church.

Three Good Things And A Misplaced Mustache

Sometimes you see a mustache and think to yourself “Welp, that doesn’t belong there.”

That was the case this last weekend at a youth retreat that I was able to go on with our church. The retreat was great, the worship was great, the band was great. But the misplaced mustache was a little distracting at first.

If You Aim At Nothing

Actually, I don’t believe that you can aim at nothing. If you’re about to shoot at nothing I would argue that you’re not aiming at all. Recently I wrote up some purpose and value statements for a class at church and thought I’d share them with y’all here on the blog.

Wednesday Worship Workshop

There are plenty of really good worship training resources on the web, but nothing like Wednesday Worship Workshop.

A few weeks ago I decided that I’d do some worship training on Youtube, but I didn’t want it to be like all the great resources that are out there. I thought I would have a little fun, do some tongue in cheek, hopefully humorous training videos that worship leaders and teams can enjoy.

There are three episodes so far and I plan to do one per month for a while. I hope you enjoy them and I would love it if you’d share with your worship leader friends!
